Late afternoon non-stop flight from London Heathrow by Royal Jordanian to Amman. Your Jordanian Tour Manager will meet you and take you to the Inter-Continental Hotel.

Morning visit to the Roman city of Jerash. In the evening we invite you to a welcome dinner.

Day 3

Drive via Mt. Nebo, Madaba and Kerak to Petra, which we reach in the late afternoon. Our stay is at the Nabatean Castle Hotel.

Day 4

In the morning walk through the narrow, winding gorge (known as the ‘Siq’) into Petra, the ancient capital of the Nabateans, hewn out of the solid sandstone cliffs. After the morning guided tour, you are free to return to the hotel, or to stay longer, to visit the mysterious High Place of Sacrifice, or the ‘Monastery’.

Day 5

Drive into the Jordanian desert to visit Wadi Rum, with its awe-inspiring lunar scenery, before continuing to the Dead Sea for a stay at the Movenpick Dead Sea Resort and Spa.

Day 7

Morning flight from Amman to Cairo. On arrival you will be met by your Egyptian Tour Manager and taken to the Oberoi Mena Garden Hotel. In the afternoon we visit the Pyramids and Sphinx, located close to your hotel. You may request a guaranteed Pyramid View Room at the Mena Garden for a special price of £45 per person for 3 nights (double or single).

Morning visit to the Egyptian Museum. Afternoon free, with the option of visiting Old Cairo.

At leisure. An optional excursion is available to Memphis and Saqqara.

Day 10

Fly to Aswan and embark on the Nile Beauty. Those wishing to take the optional visit to the temples of Abu Simbel will continue on Egyptair and return to Aswan before embarking on the boat in time for lunch. Afternoon sightseeing includes the Temple of Philae, the ancient Granite Quarries and the Aswan High Dam.

Day 11

Sail north to visit the Greco-Roman Temple of Kom Ombo. Continue sailing to Edfu, where you will visit to the wonderfully-preserved Edfu Temple.

Sail through the Esna Lock and continue to Luxor, arriving in the afternoon.

Day 13

Disembark from the Nile Beauty this morning. Visit the West Bank of the Nile, including the famous Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens and the temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Transfer to the Sonesta St. George Hotel in Luxor. In the afternoon visit the temples of Luxor and Karnak.
