Location
The Steigenberger is situated directly by El Gouna’s 18 hole USPGA golf course and is surrounded by the lagoons, close to El Gouna’s main facilities.
El Gouna is a uniquely designed resort, built on and around small islands and lagoons, leading it to be likened to 'Venice on the Red Sea', and is approximately 30 minutes from Hurghada airport. Featuring a variety of in-resort activities on land and water including a championship 18 hole golf course, a marina, range of shops and variety of options for dining and nightlife, El Gouna offers a peaceful yet varied holiday.
You can also visit Luxor or experience the wilderness of the desert on a camel, quad bike or sand buggy.

Rooms
The Steigenberger Golf Resort features 268 air-conditioned rooms, all of which are spacious and elegant. Each room has private facilities, a balcony or terrace overlooking the lagoon, garden, pool or golf course, satellite TV, radio, telephone, safe, mini bar, hairdryer and amenities. |

Cuisine
The Steigenberger El Gouna offers several dining options:
- The main buffet restaurant, Fairways, open for breakfast and dinner with themed international buffets
- La Rotisserie a la carte restaurant, located in the Club House tower, where half board guests may choose to have a 3 course dinner (set menu) without paying a supplement (excluding drinks)
- Lagoon Terrace serving light lunch, salads and refreshing drinks.
- The Green Bar, located in the golf club house, provides a selection of snacks and beverages.
- The Par 19 Bar, lobby lunge bar and terrace also serve international beverages.

- The golf club house has a relaxing indoor pool and a health and fitness centre with gymnasium, sauna and steam bath (free of charge for Steigenberger Hotel guests) and massage room (payable locally).

Any visit to the Red Sea wouldn't be complete without discovering the incredible variety of life and colour beneath the waves. Learn to dive in the Red Sea, or snorkel on some of the world's best reefs.
Diving Guests staying at the Steigenberger El Gouna can dive with our chosen dive centre partner in El Gouna, Dive Tribe, who provide transfers from the Steigenberger to the dive centre and back. Dive Tribe offers a range of packages and courses for beginners and qualified divers, as well as a variety of watersports. El Gouna is the perfect base for wreck diving, with the famed Abu Nuhas 'ship graveyard' an hour and a half away by boat.
Snorkelling There is no on-site snorkelling at the Steigenberger, but there are ample opportunities from Mangroovy Beach, accessible by courtesy shuttle bus. Equipment can be hired on the beach, of which Steigenberger maintains a private section. Alternatively, guests may choose to visit the islands of Tawila and Gubal, or various other snorkelling sites, on a boat day trip with Dive Tribe. |

Upgrade to all inclusive for £25 per person, per night (available from 20 Oct 2008) and receive the following:
- 3 meals a day served buffet style in the main restaurant - breakfast from 6.30am-10.30am; lunch from 1pm-3pm and dinner from 6.30pm-10.30pm.
- A 4 course set menu at La Rotisserie is also available from 6.30pm-10.30pm (reservation required).
- Ice cream and milkshakes available on the Lagoon Terrace (11am-5pm)
- Afternoon tea, coffee and snacks served on the Lagoon Terrace (4pm-5pm)
- A selection of soft drinks, local mineral water, juices and local alcoholic beverages including cocktails (11am-midnight), served at various food and beverage outlets
- Fruit basket upon arrival
- A variety of water sport activities including windsurfing, canoeing and introductory dives (restrictions apply; call reservations for details)
- Introduction to golf for beginners, including clubs and practice balls (takes place on Wednesdays or Saturdays)
- Use of the sauna, steam and fitness room in the Steigenberger Wellness & Health Club (11am-8pm) plus beach volleyball, boccia and mountain biking (1 hour per day til sunset)
