ITINERARY
DAY 1. SATURDAY
On arrival at Cairo Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel of your choice in Cairo for overnight. BB.
DAY 2. SUNDAY
Following breakfast, enjoy a full day of sightseeing which will take you to visit the Great Pyramids at Giza and the famous Egyptian Musuem. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. Overnight in cairo. BB + L.
DAY 3. MONDAY (Nile Cruise starts)
This morning you will fly to Luxor for the start of your Nile cruise. Lunch will be served on board. You will then visit the famous Valleys of the Kings and Queens, and the Temple of Hatsheput. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor. BB + L + D.
DAY 4. TUESDAY
Today’s sightseeing starts with an unforgettable visit to the imposing temples of Karnak and Luxor. After lunch sail to Esna for the crossing of the Esna lock. Dinner and overnight on board in Esna. BB + L + D.
DAY 5. WEDNESDAY
Sail this morning to Edfu. After lunch visit the Ancient Temple of the Falcon God Horus. At the end of your visit sail to Kom Ombo. In the evening join a traditional Galabea party after dinner. Overnight in Kom Ombo. BB + L + D.
DAY 6. THURSDAY
Today’s sightseeing starts with a visit of Sobek and Haroeris in Kom Ombo. You will then sail to Aswan. After lunch you will visit the High Dam, Old Dam, the granite quarries and the unfinished obelisk. A short boat ride will take you to the Temple of Philae. Dinner and overnight on board in Aswan. BB + L + D.
DAY 7. FRIDAY
After breakfast, you will leave your cruise and will be transferred to your hotel in Aswan for a day of relaxation. BB
DAY 8. SATURDAY (Lake Nasser Cruise starts)
Today you will be transferred to your cruise boat. Lunch on board. After lunch visit Kalabsha Temple with its Pharaonic aspect, remodelled into the Greco-Roman style and dedicated to the God Mandoulis. Visit the hemispeos of Beit El Wali, erected by Rameses II in the beginning of his Reign. Visit also the kiosk of Kertassi, erected to honour the Goddess Isis. Overnight on board. BB + L + D.
DAY 9. SUNDAY
Sailing to Wadi El Seboua. Lunch, dinner and overnight on board. BB + L + D.
DAY 10. MONDAY
Morning visit to Wadi El Seboua Temple, dedicated by Rameses II to the two Gods Amon Ra and Ra Harmakis. The Temple of Dakka, dedicated to the God Thot of divine Wisdom, lord of times and science, master of literature. Sail to Amada. Visit the Temple of Amada from the XVIIIth dynasty, built during the reign of Thotmosis III, Amenophis III and Thotmosis IV. Also visit the hemi-speos of Derr, dedicated by Rameses II to the rising sun. Finally the tomb of Penout, viceroy of Nubia. Sail to Kasr Ibrim. Dinner and overnight on board. BB + L + D.
DAY 11. TUESDAY
Morning visit to the citadel of Kasr Ibrim, sole vestige of the distant past of Nubia in its original location. Explanation is done from the sun deck of the ship as entrance to the site is not permitted. Sailing to Abu Simbel and after lunch visit the Temples. Sound and light show at Abu Simbel Temples, followed by a candlelight dinner on board and overnight. BB + L + D.
DAY 12. WEDNESDAY
Possibility for a second visit to the Temples to watch the spectacular sunrise at the Abu Simbel Temples, symbol of the international salvage of the Nubian monuments: the Temples of Ramses II and his beloved wife Nefartari. You will then fly back to Cairo for your last night in Egypt. Overnight in Cairo. BB
DAY 13. THURSDAY
Transfer from your hotel to Cairo Airport for your return flight to London.
