Day 1 Thursday
Embark in Luxor and set sail to Esna (4 hrs sailing).
Day 2 Friday
Visit Esna including Esna Temple: one of the last temples to be built in Egypt. Set sail for Aswan (13 hrs sailing).
Day 3 Saturday
Optional morning excursion to Abu Simbel & afternoon visit to the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk at the Northern Quarry in Aswan, and the Philae Temple. Overnight in Aswan.
Day 4 Sunday
Morning: felucca boat excursion around Elephantine Island & visit to the exotic Botanical Gardens on Kitchener’s Island. Set sail for Kom Ombo (3 hrs sailing) and visit Sobek Temple. Overnight in Kom Ombo.
Day 5 Monday
Early sailing to Edfu (4½ hrs sailing) & visit the well preserved Horus Temple. Sail to Luxor via Esna (6 hrs sailing).
Day 6 Tuesday
Morning exploration of Luxor’s West Bank, and afternoon trip to Karnak and Luxor Temples on the East Bank. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 7 Wednesday
Sail to Qina (4 hrs sailing), visit Dandarah Temple dedicated to the goddess Hathor. Sail onto Luxor (6 hrs sailing) with the option of experiencing Luxor Temple by night. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 8 Thursday
Disembark in Luxor after breakfast.
